Mike Nigliazzo, DVM
Dr. Mike Nigliazzo has a special talent for both listening to his clients and helping them understand their pet’s condition. He joined The PARC team in 2000 when it was known as Hulen Hills. To him, The PARC philosophy means “family” – helping not just the individual patient but the whole family through the good times and the bad. He has a particular interest in dermatology, dentistry and internal medicine.
Growing up on a farm in Navasota, Texas, Dr. Nigliazzo decided to become a veterinarian in high school. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. While still at school, he gained experience working in a mixed animal practice and later as a surgery technician in the vet school.
Mike’s wife, Sarah, is a nurse practitioner at Cook Children’s Medical Center – he jokes that they both enjoy working with kids (his are just the four-legged kind). They have three children of their own and a King Charles spaniel named Penny.
Title that would be on your pet’s nametag: Professional cuddler.
Advice for pet owners: Keep their weight ideal.
