Elizabeth Zito, DVM
Growing up in a family of medical professionals and educators, Dr. Elizabeth "Libby" Zito found her calling in veterinary medicine – a perfect blend of her inherited passion for healing and teaching, coupled with her innate love for animals. Now an emergency veterinarian at The PARC, Dr. Zito brings four years of diverse experience to a setting that resonates with her values.
Dr. Zito's professional journey includes roles as a relief veterinarian, emergency veterinarian at the Veterinary Emergency Hospital of Mansfield and associate veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital. Her areas of expertise encompass small animal preventative medicine, emergency/critical care and soft tissue surgery, with a special fondness for surgical cases. Dr. Zito's educational path led her through Northern Arizona University for her undergraduate studies in biology with minors in psychology and Spanish, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds a Fear Free certification.
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Zito now calls Fort Worth, Texas, her home. She shares her life with her spouse, Zane, and a charming trio of pets: Remi (Yorkshire terrier), Wesson (German shepherd) and Ash (domestic shorthair cat). When not at work, Dr. Zito enjoys Pilates, reading, traveling, Cricut crafting and thrifting/antiquing.
