Our ICU team focuses on the most critically ill and complex hospitalized patients. As an ICU Veterinary Technician at The PARC, you’ll provide advanced nursing care, continuous monitoring, and hands-on support for patients requiring intensive, round-the-clock attention.

While our ER, ICU, and GP teams work in close coordination, each team has a clear focus. What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in emergency and/or ICU veterinary medicine 
  • CVT/LVT/RVT encouraged to apply 
  • Proven experience providing advanced nursing care to critically ill, hospitalized patients 
  • Strong ability to monitor BP, ECG, SpO₂
  • Experience managing CRIs, drug infusions, and complex fluid therapy 
  • Solid understanding of disease progression and critical care treatment plans 
  • Hands-on experience with central lines, NG tubes, and long-term catheter care 
  • Comfortable supporting higher-risk anesthesia cases (ASA III–V preferred) 
  • Experience assisting with advanced procedures and surgeries 
  • Strong documentation and organization skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with veterinarians and ER Technicians 
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other technicians and assistants 
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in high-stress, emotionally intense situations

What You'll Do

  • Provide advanced ICU care for hospitalized, high-acuity patients with continuous monitoring 
  • Recognize and respond to subtle clinical changes to support timely medical decisions 
  • Monitor and interpret patient data including BP, ECG, SpO₂, and lab results 
  • Manage CRIs, multimodal drug infusions, and complex fluid therapy using strong medical math skills 
  • Perform and maintain central lines, NG tubes, and long-term catheters with strict infection control 
  • Support higher-risk anesthesia cases and prolonged post-operative and critical recovery care 
  • Assist veterinarians with advanced procedures and surgeries 
  • Maintain detailed, accurate medical records and ensure strong shift-to-shift communication 
  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians and the medical team on evolving treatment plans 
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient status and care plans 
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sterile ICU and treatment areas 
  • Mentor and support ER technicians
