Team Week at The PARC: Blue Ribbons & Big Texas Fun

We brought the spirit of the State Fair of Texas to The PARC this October for a week filled with Big Tex fun, fried food, and heartfelt appreciation during Team Week (Oct. 14–19) — with a special spotlight on our Best in Show Vet Techs.

We kicked things off with Vet Tech Appreciation Day, where our techs were treated to breakfast from Purina, Blue Ribbon goody bags, and a Velvet Taco dinner. It was a small way to say a big thank you to the team members who care so deeply for our patients behind the scenes every day.

Throughout the week, we turned the second floor into our own PARC Midway, featuring games, contests, and plenty of treats — from ice cream floats to corn dogs to fried donuts.

We also hosted two fun competitions:

• Best in Show: Super Pet Edition, where team members shared their pets for a chance to win top honors. Dr. Hall’s Super Dog Kyra took home the Blue Ribbon for her heroic FEMA taskforce work. Go Kyra!
• Best in Show: Fair Food Challenge, where homemade fair-inspired dishes were judged for creativity, taste, and presentation. Sam and Rory took home top honors with delicious cake pops and brownie bites. 

From cowboy hats to cotton candy vibes, Team Week was a chance to celebrate what makes The PARC truly special — the people who make it all happen with hearts as big as Texas.
