Rachel McNair, DVM
Dr. Rachel McNair always loved animals and grew to be particularly passionate about improving their health so they can continue the special bond they share with their humans. She came to The PARC in 2020, thrilled to find a clinic built on those ideals.
Trained in advanced abdominal ultrasound at Sound Academy of Veterinary Imaging, with special experience in internal medicine and dermatology, Dr. McNair previously practiced for five years at University Veterinary Hospital and offered her expertise in weekly pet education talks on KSLA News 12 in Louisiana. She holds a Bachelor of Science in animal science from Louisiana Tech University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association and American Animal Hospital Association.
Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Dr. McNair now lives in Grapevine with her husband, Brian, a doctor for humans who holds a fellowship in pediatric infectious disease at UT Southwestern Medical Center. They have three fur kids: terrier mix Buddy, tabby cat Poppy and Jack Russell mix Mabel.
Title that would be on your pets’ nametags: Mabel would be a rodent exterminator, Buddy a professional runner and Poppy an acrobat.
Advice for pet owners: Get pet insurance! You'll never regret this decision!
